From the author
The genre of ensemble music making exists more than hundreds of years. Frankly speaking, a man who started mastering musical instruments was immediately drawn to his fellow-tribesmen for mutual playing according to his instinctive motives. Both professionals and music-lovers enjoy ensemble playing, for it's not only the part of performing activity together with solo execution, but also the favorite occupation among the amateur musicians. The series of collections, called "Children's Classical Ensemble," makes for this problem's solution. These collections take into consideration the children's performing abilities, their age, musical casts of instruments in music schools (flute, violin, cello, piano), so as the variety of musical partialities - from early to modern music.
The first three issues include the pieces from the repertoire of the Children's Classical Ensemble from Togliara Musical Academical Gymnasium. These compositions were tested by the time itself. They were really a success at different concerts.
Each issue includes the pieces of various complexity. Among them there are piano compositions' transcriptions from the repertoire of children music schools, so as popular classics, modern tunes arrangements, in particular - the jazz-variety ones. The author tried to adhere the original in his arrangement, only sometimes resorting to inventions.
The performers should take into consideration, that jazz pieces allow and even require the so-called swinging syncopation with triplets. If necessary the violin and flute may change each other. You can also use viola, if you have it among the instruments in your school. You are welcome to let your ensemble grow to the cast of a chamber one.
The author himself teaches in the music college. Having created the series “CHILDREN’S CLASSICAL ENSEMBLE,” he hopes that his work should be of a practical use to his colleagues and their pupils.
