Сборники серии "Шаг за шагом" представляют пьесы для гитары петербургского педагога Галины Михайловны Кауриной. В работе с совсем юными музыкантами они будут очень полезны, ведь подобного еще не было, так как гитара — гармонический инструмент, и композиторам всегда хочется писать для нее мелодии вместе с аккомпанементом. Сыграть их потом бывает непросто. Галина Каурина, как опытный педагог, знает это прекрасно. Именно поэтому в сборники серии "Шаг за шагом" включены в основном одноголосные пьесы, которые сможет сыграть любой ученик в первые месяцы обучения. Эти же мелодии могут исполняться с аккомпанементом педагога. Гармонический план в пьесках весьма прозрачен. В заключение предлагаются несколько несложных гитарных ансамблей.
