Dictionary of Information Processing (ATK-sanakirja) has been updated and published regularly since 1966. Over the years, this dictionary has become established as the authoritative reference work of I.T. terms and definitions in Finnish. The multilingual ATK-sanakirja has IT terms in Finnish, English, French, Swedish, German, Spanish, Estonian and Russian, as well as definitions in Finnish. The material permits the automatic compilation of 56 bilingual glossaries, of which four are shown on these Web pages.
ATK-sanakirja sisältää lähes 5000 tietotekniikan termiä ja lyhennettä englanniksi ja suomeksi sekä noin 4000 vastinetta kuudella muulla kielellä, yhteensä siis yli 25 000 termiä. Painoksessa ovat mukana Valtionhallinnon tietoturvakäsitteistön erityistermit, ne on merkitty "(Vh-ttk)". Sanakirjan kehittämistyön päämääränä on tarjota suomalaisille tietotekniikan käyttäjille hyvin harkittuja, suomen kieleen soveltuvia termejä ja näille selkeät määritelmät, sekä tietotekniikan kääntäjille alan viiteteos suomen ja muiden kielten välillä.
